I really like Cindy Sherman's Untitled Film Stills so I did a project trying to take photos in the same style. I like that I am in focus and the objects in the foreground are not. I think I captured the Cindy Sherman style in this photo.

This year i really got into photography, and throughout this semester i had the opportunity of working with my friend Jackie as my model. I enjoy this picture because when you look at her eyes behind the puppy you feel that there truly is a story behind the photo.

As senoirs spend the last days of high school, friends realize that they will part very soon. I took this piture accidentaly; I just took a random picture. In my case, it became a successful picture. The two friends have that space between them, indicating that soon they will part. I didn't realize the foot in the backround, it caught the ghost effect; I think it was perfect for the parting, almost like disapearing.

I really like the contrast in between the flower and the leaves behind it. It really makes the flower stand out. This picture was an accident. I was walking along my driveway when I noticed this little lone rose all by itself on this huge bush. I just had to take a picture of it. I also like how how the picture came out so crisp and clear, it shows so much detail on the flower.

I feel that this project was my most sucsessfull project this year. Out of this project this was what i feel to be my best picture. i feel that the overall coposition is really good. I am also really proud of the way the butterfly and the flowers came out so crisp because it was a little windy.

This photo brings all the focus to the middle of the plant. I used the macro setting on my camera which made everything in the backround go blurry. I believe that this photo is successful because all the green pops throughout the photo.

I took this picture of my moms teapot, for the reflections project in class. My mom is a collecter and i find them very intersting.I wish the picture was a little less blurry. Other than that i think the picture is fairly unique.

I took this picture of a reflection of trees in a big puddle. I photoshoped it by changing the color and made it a little more clearer. I also fliped the photo upside down.

For this project I had a bit of a hard time trying to position the globe in the right way so the sun would be reflected on it. I found the spot of sunlight where it reflected on the wooden table. I think this picture was the most successful of the 24 reflection pictures I took. I like how there's a small reflection in every little bubble of the globe.

In this photo, I attempted to portray the topic of “negative space”. To the right side of the picture, is a leg hanging down from a body sitting upon a stool. In various areas surrounding the feet there is negative space. Especially the areas near the bottom of the feet; there is also negative space. In addition, the left side also features a bit of dept in the background. This forces the eye to travel, as this area is also occupied by negative space. I particularly like the lighting in this photo. The main subject in the foreground is the most vivid. Portions of negative space in the background are also very vivid.

In this photo I like how it is dark in the back and under the skateboard. I like how it is light in the front but in the one spot it is too light from the flash and i don't really like that.

This is a picture i took outside because the lighting was so much better. The sky in the backround is a solid color is negative space so it helped bring more focus onto me.This was one of my photos that i really like.

I chose this photograph because I like how she looks as if she is focused on something else or it's almost as if someone has her attention. I like how the light in this picture isn't to bright or to dark and it doesn't affect the photo.

In this particular photo, I made an attempt to represent "Cold" as it was assigned earlier in the year during the class of photography. In this image, their is a snowman ornament. I set the contrast high because it made the photo have more interest and stand out more in general. To me, this represents cold because its on my christmas tree and christmas is during the winter, which is generally cold.

I took this picture for the "Choice" project. When I first took it I didn’t like that the top of my head is cut off, but now I think it adds to the picture. When I took the picture, I decided to leave the door in the picture to make it seem like the viewer is “spying” on someone.

I took this photo for my "Choice" project in my Digital Photography class. I figured why not use one of the things I love most as my topic? So here we are, with "Art". In this project, I tried not to shy away from using a lot of color as much as I usually do (although it doesn't show in this version of the picture, I don't know why). I tried a few new things, trying to keep it simple but interesting.

I used this picture during a project for my photo class. I tried to incorporate different kinds of emotions for my project. This picture symbolizes, obviously, a broken heart. It was easier to take pictures using emotions if you were in that "state" of emotion you were trying to capture. I had a fun time with this project, because it could been about anything. At first I had a hard time finding out what I wanted to do, then i thought this would be simple, and have more options, since there is so many different feelings out there.

I never thought that fooling around on the beach with tubes of paint and a camera would produce a picture that would make a huge different in my life: in my career. This photo was the other one that won at the art show in Westchester for Portraits. I submitted this photo for the Senior Scholarship Show at the Art Society of Kingston, and it was used in The Daily Freeman and The Chronogram to advertize the show. This photo has helped to change my life, and to really start my career.

This is my best friends little brother. Hes basically my little brother so i thought it would be fun to take photos of him. Hes crazy so it was hard to keep him still but i think it came out really good. I like the facial expression on his face its very sad and lost looking to me and i think the picture makes you wonder what hes thinking.

This is from one of the first photo projects of this semester. I really like working with angles and I think this photograph is a good example of angles. I also like the lighting in this photo. It makes the mandolin look earthy, like the hard wood floor. The depth in this photo is shallow, but I think it adds to the photo. It brings focus on the bridge, then the lines will guide your eye elsewhere.

I saw pieces of broken glass and no bottle. The bottle was in someones yard so i placed it back on the sidewalk and took a picture. I like the negative space of the sidewalk beneath the bottle and how it looks like its overlapping. The texture adds a lot too. You can also see the reflection of me taking the picture, so I think of a story like this could be the reflection of someone like the troubles in their lives is represented by the broken bottle.

This is a Photo of my little sister. I really like the angle she is in and the lighting of the photo. Although it is in black in white I really liked how it came out. She doesnt really have an expression on her face so it appears very natural. Although she is my little sister and she annoys me I still love her and I love this photo of her.

At the time that I took this photo my life was like a roll of the dice. I was preparing myself for college and I would apply and just see what would happen. I took this photo originally for Highlights, Kingston High School's newspaper, and then realized that it was better then just sitting in a newspaper. So, then I put this photo into the Lower Hudson Region Youth Media Arts Show, and it won the audience choice for still life. This photo for me not only represents how life has been like a roll of the rice, but the beginning of my career.

I like this photo because it's my own and its my room so i know that its something i enjoy. Pink is by far my favorite color so i tend to go for things that reflect on things i like. I really like this photo because of the colors. Everything is in focus and the shape of the tree makes it really interesting. Taking this photo was really fun because i was laying down on the ground and getting all angles of the tree. I like how the tree takes up the whole photo and theres branches all over the place.
